During a cultural exchange trip to celebrate collaboration and connections between Indigenous women ranger teams, a group of KJ Rangers from Punmu and Kunawarritji communities had an amazing opportunity to visit Mparntwe (Alice Springs).

KJ Rangers hone their sharpshooting skills and conquer tough terrain with corporate firearms and 4WD recovery training from Morning Star Training.

KJ Rangers rose to the challenge and completed realistic and practical remote first aid training. This intense and memorable experience left the Rangers feeling more confident handling real-life situations.

KJ Rangers enhanced their knowledge and skills for conducting safe and effective burns through two-way training.

The partnership between BHP and KJ provides social, cultural and environmental programs to conserve and protect Martu culture, land and heritage. It has generated significant employment opportunities for Martu, primarily through a ranger program. Martu elder, Thelma Judson, was asked what this partnership has meant to her.
